60 Years and still going strong!

This past weekend we celebrated my parent's 60th Wedding Anniversary!  60 years together and still going strong.  Mom said it is quite an accomplishment to be married 60 years and  have 58 of them be happily married years!  I asked her which two were unhappy and she answered with a smile, "Not years, but days that added up to two years."
We had a special dinner at the Flowing Well Pub in the nearby village of Sunningwell.  Sadly missed was my brother Scott and sister-in-law Barbie who couldn't make it due to work and health reasons.  Dear friends, who are like family, came to help celebrate.  Seated around the table is Marcella DeMurat; John; me; my mother Lorrie; Conrad Venter; Herve DeMurat,  my sister Catherine; my dad Tim; and MarionVenter.
On Sunday we visited Blenheim Palace where Winston Churchill was born.  It was too cold to walk in the grounds so we walked through the Palace instead.  Here are my parents with Catherine and the DeMurats in the Palace's private chapel.  I am deeply grateful for my wonderful parents, the great example they have set for us, and the sweet blessing of old and dear friendships.
